As I have been working with the WebView and WebEngine, I noticed the following:
1. Referencing an image on disk from html doesn't work e.g: doesn't work nor does (the result is blank)
2. I have also notice that XMLHttpRequest yields status 0 and readyState 4 when setting headers

Are these by design or are these observations bugs. How can we work around them?

That is pretty weird. Probably points to an OS/driver issue rather than a problem with the camera itself. Maybe a conflict with another Firewire or webcam device/driver? I don't have any specific advice since I haven't seen this problem before, but if you do resolve it please post back on what it was.

Wow, thanks for the quick response. It is in DV mode.

There's definitely something strange going on. I restored my PC to a previous date, and the streaming video via Skype was working again. However when I logged out and back it, it no longer recognized the HV40.

Have you ever encountered this before, or have any idea why this is happening?

Hi I have a webcast setup using the Canon Vixia HV40 and it was working perfectly on Skype. The other day I pressed "record" and haven't been able to connect correctly to the HV40 since. I've performed a a reset but still cannot establish a connection. Would you happen to have any suggestions to help me get this working again?

Not sure how much luck you are going to have with something as old as 1.3. If you want to do a soft float build, you can try the Java 7 SE Embedded builds here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/embedded/downloads/javase/index.html

Remember that these will be headless (no GUI) and you will be taking a performance hit by not using the FPU.
